Adjustable Paracord Wrist Lanyard

Posted in Blog

More knotty stuff on my blog: stormdrane.blogspot.com This is an example of an adjustable wrist lanyard, using a couple of Celtic Button Knots and a Scaffold Knot, both that I’ve done videos of. I tied this lanyard last year and stuck it in a drawer, thinking no one would probably be interested in it, but digging it back out, someone may find it useful and be able modify it to their own use… I may add a tutorial for making this particular lanyard later. But for...

Paracordist how to: paracord ranger bead – take II

Posted in Blog

www.Paracordist.com I did my first video over a year ago on this and its been very popular. The only criticism I got was that the black on black paracord and the bad lighting made it hard for some viewers to follow. I’ve done a “take II” version, with contrasting cord and good lighting. If you can’t do it now, hang up the paracord and needlenose and let a professional do it LOL. http Video Rating: 5 /...

Homemade Wooden Buck Saw – Version 2

Posted in Blog

This is the second homemade wooden buck saw that I constructed. I used some timber I had in the garage, a chisel, Leatherman Charge ALX, and handsaw. For the frame I used mortise and tenon joints which give it alot more stability than the previous buck saw. I use the same 550 paracord and a whittled down spindle to tension the buck saw. I found that using the 550 paracord may not be the best option because it will stretch and I had to adjust the tension a couple of times...

episode25 – HOWTO: Join two pieces of paracord (for looks, not for strength)

Posted in Blog

Quick video on how to join two pieces of paracord. This is JUST for looks. It is in no way intended to be used for anything requiring strength. If you need to join two pieces of rope for strength you’d need to use a knot, but that wouldn’t look very nice in most paracord projects, like bracelets. The intention of this video is to help people who want to do those projects with multiple colors. Video Rating: 4 /...
